McLachlan won silver in the womens T38 classification 200-metres in a time of 35.41 seconds.
This feels good, going in I didnt really know what to expect, but wow, this was a lot of fun, McLachlan said. She now shifts her focus to Fridays 100-metre final.
Braedon Dolfo captured bronze in the mens T13 100-metres in a new Canadian record time of 11.34 seconds.
Im feeling pretty good, another personal best said a thrilled Dolfo, who recently returned to training following hip surgery. It feels great to be back.

Lyne Tremblay was the only woman in her category (womens individual recurve – sitting) to qualify for the Parapan American Games. As a result, the organizers merged the standing and sitting categories in to one event. Lyne therefore competed from her chair against standing opponents, finishing fifth with a score of 817.
Since this was not my category, I decided to try a new technique I learned in Korea, Tremblay said. The other four women are standing, and I am sitting. Normally, for 70m target, I shoot 500 points, and I shot in the 200s today, which is unusual. I am considering this a training experience.

We were really excited with our qualifying time, a new Canadian best, but we knew we would have a tough final. We had a tough start with the starting mechanism malfunctioning, but we dealt with it it to win. I am very proud of our performance, said , a two-time world champion.
This was our fourth pursuit together and it felt really good, said Bessette. Robbi has really improved her pedaling. Every time we race together we are getting better as a team. This is our second gold of the games so we are really very, very happy.
